ABOUT US

Founded in 2020, The Nutrition Advisory Team brings together an extended team of healthcare professionals, behavioural scientists, educators, researchers, and creative specialists who are skilled in turning complex insight into clear, trusted content.

We work with socially responsible businesses to integrate health and performance using principles based on Eat, Move, Feel, Connect™.

Our true north is to work with purpose and passion, meaningfully and intentionally creating better outcomes for people and the planet.

OUR VALUES

Relationships

Relationships are the thread that runs through everything we do. We believe that lasting change emerges through the quality of our relationships — with ourselves, each other, our communities, our food systems and the natural world.

Curiosity

Curiosity begins with noticing. Curiosity invites us to look with intention, ask questions and seek deeper understanding.

Connection

Nothing exists in isolation. Connection invites us to look beyond individual parts and notice the relationships between them. It is often within these relationships that understanding, resilience and opportunity are found.

Care

Care is recognising that our actions today help shape what grows tomorrow.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Claire King is the founder of The Nutrition Advisory Team, bringing together over 25 years of experience in primary education, leadership, and nutritional science to create meaningful change in how people engage with food, health, and sustainability.

A former primary headteacher for a decade, Claire is a strong advocate for a child-centred, whole-child approach to education, one that recognises nutrition, wellbeing, and food literacy as foundational to healthier, happier lives, not optional extras.

Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of how biology, behaviour, environment, and lived experience interact, and how, when these elements fall out of balance, both health and learning can suffer. Claire’s focus is on bringing these systems back into greater harmony to support long-term wellbeing, resilience, and sustainability.

Central to her work is the Eat, Move, Feel, Connect® framework — four essential roots of health that help people understand the relationship between what they eat, how they live, how they feel, and the world around them.

Claire is passionate about reconnecting people with local food systems, provenance, and place. Through her work, she supports access to whole food, strengthens local supply chains, and enables place-based knowledge exchange — helping both people and planet live well, for longer.
