OUR SOCIAL IMPACT
The NAT began with one simple question:
What if every child understood where food comes from, how it shapes their health, and the role they can play in caring for the land, supporting British farming, and creating a more sustainable food system?
Where it started
After 24 years working in education, our founder saw first-hand the gap between what children were taught about healthy eating and the reality of the environments in which they learned.
“There was little opportunity to understand the journey of food — from fork to plate — or the wider systems that influence our health, communities and environment.” — Claire King
Where we are now
Today, our work continues to grow from this relationship-centred approach. At the heart of everything we do is social purpose.
